Frequently asked questions
How do you describe your shooting style?
I love candid moments and real emotions between the wonderful people we get to photograph. I work hard to capture your wedding day in a healthy balance of documentary and posed photography
How do I book you for my wedding?
You can contact me to see if I am available for your date, If I am open for your date and you feel I am the photographer for you, you confirm a booking for you wedding date with a R 1000.00 non-refundable booking fee
Which form of payments do you accept?
I prefer EFT, but also take cash. I take R 1000.00 non-refundable booking fee to secure your date and then the remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before your session.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! Knowing that paying a lump sum is not always possible, we can discuss a weekly or monthly plan that works perfectly for you, as long as balance is paid before your session.
What is the difference between edited photos and edited and retouched?
All final images are edited for color, saturation, exposure and sharpness ensuring that each image is on its own the best it can be. For retouched images we take things a step further by clearing up blemishes, smoothing the skin, removing as much interference from the back ground as possible i.e. that scuba diver that pops his head out of the water just as we are capturing the perfect kiss etc. Retouched images are transformed from great images into pieces of art!
Which locations do you recommend for a Portrait and couple shoots?
I do outdoor and indoor photography and can shoot (almost) everywhere you might come up with. The best places are where you feel most comfortable so you enjoy the session as much as possible. If you have confirmed your wedding venue, it is also a great idea to check with them for your engagement session. I love to talk about your ideas so please contact me and we can get into the details.
How should we prepare for Portrait Session?
Good mood is the most important thing. Make sure you have enough time to prepare beforehand so you are not stressed, comfortable cloth fitting the season and be open to venture out. With kids it helps to bring something to drink and some little treats to make it easy for them as well. We can go through specific questions before your shoot so we can ensure you are well prepared. If they have a toy they want to bring, please allow them
What should I wear to my session?
I believe that ultimatly it should be what you feel most comfortable in. I am always available if you are still unsure what will go best with the location setting and what will be most flattering
What happens if we are running late or vice versa to our shoot? Will you extend the shooting time?
It is my practice to arrive early to our shoots, as I like to scope out the surroundings and get my creative mind going. If for some reason I am late I will do my best to extend the time or if the time is substantial and the shoot is unsuccessful I will refund all or part of the money, or reschedule your session free of charge.
If a client is late I will do my best in the time that is remaining to get everything we need, but I don’t extend the session time.
My portrait sessions are quite long in the time frame available. I do this so people can be relaxed and happy during the session and don’t need to be stressed about the time.
